Morocco Earthquake

Dear Friends,

We were all greatly saddened to see the devastation caused by the earthquake in Morocco over the weekend, and by the tremendous loss of life that is being reported.

We have been in contact with the Jewish communities in Casablanca and Marrakesh to offer our support and, Baruch HaShem, both are reporting that all members of the Jewish communities are safe and well and that there has been some limited damage to the synagogues in Marrakesh. We understand, however, that a number of Israeli tourists in the region still remain unaccounted for and pray that they are also all safe. Our thoughts are, of course, with all of the victims of this tragedy and their families who are enduring terrible hardship at this time.
